Any of you find folks have suggestions on how to spruce of an office/work room? I was thinking of maybe putting up barn wood on one wall, but am trying to consider othe ideas. I work my day job in the office and have a work bench for doing bow and guitar stuff on.

Pic if you got em!

Visible to the general public (in the background of work from home video calls/meeting), visible to family, or for your eyes and entertaintment only?

Hmmm, don't mind spending some money. Maybe less than $500, just off the top of my head.
A nice wood accent wall with a flat screen in the middle surrounded by mounts/photos/sheds/Momentos etc could be very nice, and you can explain the budget creep away by using the TV as an extra monitor for the laptop. Use the accent wall to hide the cords etc. Depending on size could flanknthe tv with built in bookshelves. (on that note a whole wall of built in bookshelves might be the better option, form and function

You can do a lot with $500. Paint and scrap material like the pallett wood mentioned above. Just depends on what your style is or the look you are going for.

I'm leaning towards the recalemed wood of some sort, but wanted to see if there are any other interesting options. I have stuff to put on the wall ones it's done, but still trying to figure out the base wall look.

you can also buy wallpaper that has a scene on it like woods or a beach or something if youre into that sort of thing. potentailly easier to remove/ cover than wood, but i still vote wood. even home depot sells 'barnwood' now (at outrageous prices) so the trend isn't going way any time soon.

On the cheap and easy?....galvanized corrugated roofing material, cheap trim boards, dark stain. Led rope lighting along the ceiling hidden behind cheap dark stained trim boards if u wanna get fancy

I got a wall mural from Cabelas a while back. It turned out real good.

I'm not much for decorating. Coming from a .mil background, "I-Love-Me" walls were really common among the careerists - plaques, certificates, letters of appreciation, trophy pictures, coin racks, flags, etc. Everyone visiting them could see their accomplishments (or lack thereof). So my instinct is along those lines, items of personal significance - trophies, pictures, cool sheds, cool things you found in the woods, etc.

As far as wall coverings... I like finished oak and pine, something that kinda glows in soft light. Maybe wainscoting, a chair rail, and beadboard? Or hardwood flooring panels mounted vertically? I've seen that done well.

Google is your friend, but can certainly lead to some interesting decorating options. Custom wall murals are a thing
What would be killer is a wall mural made from a photo. Would love one that's a first person view from one of my stands...

This one came up under "outdoorsman office accent wall" lol. Screenshot_20230118-144004.png

I have been thinking of blowing up some pics from deer hunting spots here and from Colorado and putting them in old window frames and hang them on the walls that dont have windows.
