Hey guys,
I had a pair of my dad's old desert tri-colors and a north face fleece that I had beat to crap. I made a hand muff out of them. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it's just for me, and I don't mind! I have it on the belt of my nut ruck just for proof of concept. I might change that later.
Anyways, I took both sleeves off the fleece and one sleeve off the camo blouse. Trimmed the fleece sleeves to the length desired and put them inside of each other (4 layers worth with the scraps from remaining sleeve pieces trimmed off), put the camo around the outside, flipped her inside out and glued the camo down to the inner most layer of fleece. Flipped it right-side out and sewed the openings down to fit my dainty little girl wrists.
I just thought I'd share some photos of this, as I imagine I'm not the only one with old camo and warm layers around the house. If you had the right kind of set-up, you could put elastic or shock cord of some sort around the openings for adjustable fit. I'm sure some creative soul could even make one that's waterproof!
