One sticking and using a separate platform

Third year of one-sticking. It's just what I like. Seems though that I'm wanting some more real estate up in the in the tree though. Currently using a UP Platform on a EWO Feather Stick. A Cruzr Seeker will show up tomorrow. Here's what's going back in forth in my mind- should I take off the UP from the stick and replace it with the standoff and use the Seeker, or use both? I could care less about the added weight of carrying both. I'm wondering if it will be cumbersome having both the UP and the Seeker at the same level around the tree.

For those of you who one-stick and use a separate platform, what's your experiences with having both a platform on the stick and another cam-over style platform?

I used EWO UP and predator this past season during the rut. Make those 6+ hr sits a little more bearable. I could shoot my “weak” side better by being able to swing all the way around tree, and more comfortable standing with back to the tree on predator than UP. I even tried setting predator below UP and using UP as my “seat” to sit; didn’t work out so well bc predator post+UP stick=too long and I have short legs. I would do predator next to UP again in the future.

I always use a separate platform with my stick with just standoffs on it. I leave the stick on the tree at about my 11:00 position so I can step around to my left. From that position I can shoot back around to my weak side while hiding behind the tree. Another really dated video (my equipment has been updated but the principle is the same).

X2 on UP and predator for long sits. If I plan to stay all day Its a minimum. I like to be able to stand comfortably to adjust at some point. If it's gun season and all day I will bring the Mission. I thought switching out the UP as well. But for the price of a standoff and steps, keeping the platform to stand on while climbing seemed worth it. Unless you walk a long ways and want to save a little bulk and weight.

Ive do like hunting off om my ooal monarch one stick but i shoot better standing up off a bigger platform so i went with a mini stick, 3 step aider and predator XL platform for a while.Just recently started using the LWCG .5 stand as a hybrid. I can see myself jumping around amongst the 3. All work well for different scenarios. This off-season I want to give 2tc a real chance and see what I like better as far as a climbing method but I believe I'll stick with a bigger platform.

I run a beast stick with a platform on top and then my mission at the same level as the platform. I have tried a bunch of one stick platforms, but nothing compares to the mission. I have tried a few times not to take the mission and I just can't do it.
