One Sticking with a Daisy Chain

I made my first ever daisy chain yesterday. Its seriously simple, child's play.

Where/how did you learn to make your daisy chain? Youtube? If so, can you provide the link to the specific one you used? Thanks...

I did mine with 1/8" instead of 7/64. The 7/64 is a little lacking for working load for me. It all clicked when I watched this:

ETA - I also made my own FID from a knitting needle from Walmart and a dremel. You don't have to buy that $40 fid kit.

Looks like at least this guy has... I want to try it his way but I'm not ballsy enough to do it without a linesman belt.

I'm not scientist, but the way he has his aider attached seems pretty sketchy. The step is designed to hold your weight from the top with your feet kind of spreading out the load. This is attached through a hole most of the way through the step all the way at end. Seems like high risk of failure to me. I would find a better way to attach.

Perfect, thanks!

This past season I started out 1 sticking with a cam buckle strap then moved to versa strap then moved to Amstel daisy chain. It was much easier than the other two methods.

I just made my own daisy chain it took about 30 minutes.

Ultimately I ended up using 3 short sticks and a knaider and swaider.
The last method was the easiest for me to get my platform 18-19ft off the ground

Not great with the versatrap right? That was my experience. I prefer the cam buckle to the webbing daisy chain.

Still experimenting and learning the method.

I can imagine the amsteel DC being better than the webbing DC.

I'm about to sell all my versastraps. They hold great but fiddling with getting those loops open sucks.
