Have been one sticking with a muddy stick with artisian platform on top and worked well except turning for the off side shots was difficult with the small size platform. So I started carrying my tree suit and that worked great, but I thought I’d try using a webbing aider tied to the tree suit.
Works great!! The first set is about 7’ and after that I can move it between 4&5’ each reset. It’s a little more time consuming to reset than the muddy with the cam cleat, but to me it’s worth it in weight and bulk savings, and not having 2 metal things to clang together. The aider does want to shift/kick out the closer I get to the platform but I think I can fix this by moving the attachment point closer to the tree.

What type of strap are you using on the tree suit?
The cam buckle strap with quick disconnect that came with it. It actually isn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I leave it hooked up and just loosen it up and slide the whole thing up

Interesting Idea. Any chance you could shoot a quick video of the climb? I'm having a hard time visioning this process.
