Sometimes you find a crotch just a tad to high...

I normally carry 50ish ft of paracord in my pack in case I need to replace a rotten preset or if I decide to set a new tree.

Well after my hunt yesterday decided to get a preset in an area I didn't have one in as a a backup plan. Was about 15ft short on my precut and didn't have any extra, didn't want to sacrifice my throw line as it wasn't long enough either but I did have a roll of surveyor tape on my that also stays in my dump pouch. Hopefully it lasts till Monday so I can get a new length of paracord up .

I suppose that’s better than walking out without shoelaces!

When I was doing DRT and setting presets, I found this out pretty quick. It's very aggravating. I made a rule of never cutting a precut length shorter than my climb line, which was 75 feet.
