OOAL stick question

So I bought a short stick and scout platform, and I’m having trouble figuring out the versa button and strap that it came with. It seems to slip. There’s no sewn spots in the strap for the button, so I guess I have to figure out the correct knot. Does someone have a video? Or can explain it maybe?

Did you get the mini strap?? If so it’s designed to be used as a rope mod.

Yep! I did a double loop before doing the half hitch.

Yeah. Here is a video of sorts. I just make one more loop on the front side of the rope if that makes sense.
