All I've ever used is the black amsteel which I knows goes gray after use. I'm thinking about using orange on my WE stepps but how does the orange hold up. Will it lighten up to a sad dreamsicle orange color after use?

Amsteel doesn’t hold its color. The fiber doesn’t absorb color like clothing does and will fade really fast based on use. I tried using green amsteel for my bridge this season, held up pretty well but can see it’s faded really bad. Also the color came off on hands when it was new just from handling it. Based on others experiences that I’ve read and my own, I would say it’s going to fade.

Thanks for the info.

Now can anyone shed light on using 3/16" vs 1/4" on wild edge steps. SPecfically does the 1/16" really make that much difference in being able to adjust slack in the loop?
