Oregon petition to ban hunting, fishing and trapping.

I don’t find this surprising at all. Sometimes you have to let your kids learn their lesson. If the majority of folks in Oregon don’t want hunting, then that’s their decision to make. We all know that it won’t work, but maybe they need a little time to learn that lesson on their own.

I'm here for it. Best way to learn is from our mistakes and far as I can figure at this point that's the only way our great nation continues to improve. And that condemnation falls on both sides of the idiocrat extremes.

Not a chance. You think it will stay confined to OR if it gains a foothold there? I used to get annoyed with the NRA (I'm an Endowment Member BTW) a lot with the constant barrage of information about this politician voting in support of one kind of level of gun control. Now I understand why. Its like a cancer or terrorism, give an inch and it keeps spreading. If something like this gains traction in OR its gonna come everywhere. I hope and pray to God cooler and more rational minds will prevail but... uh... well, Portland had the riots all last summer what a tragedy that was and still is. No, I say fight fire with fire on things like this man.

I won’t be telling people in Oregon what they can and can’t do. Now if it’s Virginia, that’s a different story, because I live in Virginia. And if Virginia were to ever pass a law like that because the majority wanted it that way, I’m not going to riot in the streets over it. I’m going to pack my crap and move.

This stuff doesn't stop where it starts. It spreads. They will target the next vulnerable state. It's kinda like the, "fight them there so we don't have to fight them here" thing. Even the antis have limited budgets and ballot issues are expensive to run and fight. Big thing right now is going after the coyote hunting competitions.
 
Yeah I'm not saying telling OR what to do I'm saying there has to be a reciprocal charge to keep hunting and trapping alive in the state.

Man I hope you're right!!!! That's what I'm banking on but have you seen the state of our country over the last year or so???? My concern is that Environmental Specialist still typically has a political appointee for a boss who's boss is the politician who sets the stage and signs the checks. They're gonna want to get paid and keep their pensions. My point? The pressure has to be from the outside as they will be too concerned to ruffle any feathers on the inside. The anti's have figured that out and are getting the outside pressure.
 
All I can say is over 50% of the USA joined the new movement, so don't think it can not happen.
