I have to podium and it is awesome. Does everything I want it to. It’s super light and comfortable but I have one complaint and that is the noise. If it touches anything it sings too loud for my liking. It doesn’t seem like stealth stripping that would do any good. Wondering if anyone on here has had this problem and how they fixed it.

I filled mine with minimal expanding foam (like great stuff) and definitely deadened the hollow metallic sound... definitely about the only drawback.
I am building platforms and have been wondering about the hollow sound situation. Does the foam (great stuff) work to quite it down?

I mean you aren't going to get rid of the metallic sound if you bang it off of something, but it definitely cuts back on the "pinging-hollow" noise should you happen to bump it... for the couple of bucks it cost, well worth it IMO.

I have a can of felxseal that I was thinking about spraying on it to help with that as well. But i haven't had too many issues with sound.

Another thing is to eliminate metal buckles where possible. I run daisy chains on all my climbing sticks and DIY'd a whoopie sling for my Ridge Runner.

This has definitely made my carry in setup much quieter.

I foamed treestands and cheap sticks back in the day and it works well.

I have a locon limit and the welds creak when cold. I bought it because it only weighs 7.5 lbs ready to hunt. I am considering filling the cross members with foam.

This is gonna sound dumb, but how much does the foam weigh when you fully fill a tubular stand? I'd be unhappy if it bumped the weight from like 7.5 lbs to 8.5 lbs or more because it would feel heavier on the back.

You'll never notice the weight difference. Basically a pc. of foam 3/4" square the length of whatever you're filling.
