Out On A Limb Customers

As most of you are aware, using a bigger rope than the recommended 1/16” – 3/16” outside diameter rope CAN and WILL cause a catastrophic failure to the clam cleat, that may result in your injury or death. These Clam Cleats are ONLY meant for 1/16” – 3/16” outside diameter rope, and any use of bigger rope or “customizations” are NOT recommended.

Due to the number of customers modding these clam cleats, Out On A Limb will no longer be offering them for sale with our products.

Feel free to use these clam cleats at your own risk, but due to safety reason we will no longer be adding these to our line of sticks.

I was happy to see them send this email to their distribution list after seeing a clam cleat break. This is one of things I really like about Matt and OOAL, they make sure to notify everyone if there is any question about safety of their product, even if used out of spec. Hats off to Matt and OOAL! Thanks and keep up the good work guys.
