OK guys, I did the sponge thing with the Krylon paint - but after 4 weeks there is still a strong paint odor. What the heck? Any tips on getting this smell to dissipate - hate to think my DT1963 platforms will be out of service for entire year? Good thing I have a Predator and a couple Klemz

Do you have an ozone machine? I use mine to kill that smell right after i paint gear.

Nope - no ozone. I have used spray paint many times but I have never had paint smell linger for weeks. I even clear coated them a week later and that did not help at all - the things reek of paint smell

I'm assuming you had it outside since they have been painted. Maybe try a scent elimination spray and/or soap. It could possibly help.

Thanks for the warning, I'll refrain from the cool factor of painting them.

Most likely still smell because they haven’t fully cured and are still degassing. Heat works. Your coldest setting in the oven will set the cure. I’d go for two hours. Your house is gonna stink really bad though. Another option is to use a jet heater and tent an area for the pieces sit it to hold the heat.

Dang that sucks! sun and ozone is about all I can suggest. I have washed stands (really just got wet) and let the sun dry to pull smells from them maybe it will work in this situation

I second the dry heat. I would try to set it up in the oven as mentioned.

The non led work lights will work too. Just set it close to them. I use them to cure recurve limbs at 200 degrees.
