Olympic archers do pretty good out to 90 meters without a peep good repeatable form must come into play. Natives and English bowman did pretty good but also trained since their youth. I have hated peeps all my compound shooting time so I am kinda biased but use what allows you to increase your odds at a clean, humane kill. Also I heard a saying years ago " Target archers try to get as far away from the target and still hit it while hunters try and get as close as possible and not miss". The art of stalking prey has somewhat been lost in the modern age. Shooting distance in my experience teaches where I need to improve because mistakes tend to be magnified.
