WARNING ... This is 100% DIY. Petzl would never recommend doing this.
I bought a Petzl Evolv Adjust and replaced the rope with my Tethrd 8mm tether. The Petzl Adjust device needs specific carabiners to work well and not slip. Of course Petzl recommends a few of their carabiners. I'm using a DMM PerfectO carabiner. But here's the results from backyard testing at ground level with my body weight (195 lb). No slipping at all. I can press into the tree with all my weight and it won't budge.
Also before any of the safety police comment on the carabiner not being locked. Yes I know it's not locked. I am standing on the ground, just unlocked the carabiner, was about to detach myself and forgot to take a picture so I took the picture.
The rope runs super smooth though it and it's easy to give/take slack. Going to test it some more at ground level but so far it's a pretty freaking awesome. This setup is similar to the Kong Slyde. Same idea, the Adjust is just way smoother. In the rock climbing community the Adjust is way more popular than the Slyde for that exact reason.
