petzl caritool vs heroclip

Ive seen quite a few people that use the heroclip for hanging bow or gun, has anyone used the petzl caritool? it looks like it would work well with a webbing gear hanger.
 
I dont want to unclip anything when I'm getting my weapon ready. Deer will hear that snap closed if you goof. And when you goof, it will be on a Pope and young.

Maybe, but it will impact load capacity, the hero clip is made to be used that way. Hawk has a gear hook you should look into it. I do like the little area for your strap.
