I recently switched to the phantom xl.....kinda feel like they purposely made things excessively big ...I mean Bigfoot couldnt fill this thing in ...if someone can't fit in this they don't belong in a tree...anyway I noticed the prusik for the amsteel bridge was made too big where if you move to adjust the slightest it falls right out of whatever comfort channel you have it in I tried to add one more wrap around the bridge but I cant "took me over an hour to figure out how to rewrap it" anyone know an easy fix for this opposed to splicing a new loop maybe elastic cord around the prusik loop

I have the same issue. I ordered new Amsteel from a local supplier. I plan on making my own bridge.

I will be splicing an eyebin one end of the amsteel to form a 4" or so eye in the end. I will girth hitch that to my saddle brifge loops on the left side of my body. I will then make a spliced loop, and girth hitch that to the other side of the saddle. Last thing that remains is to form the girth hitched loop into a prussik, and slide the bridge rope through. Then tie a stopper on the bridge rope.

Just waiting for the Amsteel to show up now! Should be any day.

I managed to find it in an orange colour, so it will look damn sexy with the rest of my setup (brown and burnt orange). I also went with a smaller diameter (3/8" I believe).

Yea when I took my spliced loop apart I wanted to try and add one more twist to the prusik but it wasnt long enough it was a bitch for me to get that thing back together im not gunna lie...I settled on taking a small elastic cord and trying it around the loop so it stays in the comfort channel

I’m doing the same thing on my DIY 2 panel saddle and my daughters DIY saddle that I just finished today. Seems like a great idea. Also makes it perfect for swapping the same bridge to a different saddle.

Best bridge design I've ever used was the Aero Hunter Webbing bridge.

It was girth hitched on each side so it was rock solid in the set. It also had a tri-glide that I modified so that I could undo it when walking yet set it up when ready to climb. It was also extremely smooth when shifting weight.

My plan it to sew my own for my Method 2.
