Pictures of how you all pack your packs?

ive been hunting the saddle for the first season. Really loving it. I’m trying to figure out a better idea to pack my gear in. I pretty much exclusively hunt public land so I like to be as light and compact as possible. If I could get some pictures of some veterans set up that would be much appreciated. Thanks much!!

Depending on climbing method and planned hunt my length I vary from a fanny pack to small day pack on up to a badlands 2200. The badlands is a little on the heavy side but it is so comfortable for me it is worth it. If I hunt a preset for a couple hours I can get away with the fanny pack. The wild edge stepps go into my day bag. The badlands 2200 is great for carrying sticks. I even throw my stick ladders for presets on the meat shelf. Just have to set something under the sticks to protect the fabric.

I’m having troubles uploading but I just added straps to the xop platform and attach a muddy pro w/black diamond 5 step aider for one sticking. The way I strap the stick let’s me open the top step and it’s like a shelf for a fanny pack I bungee on. I usually bungee my coat on for the walk. I’ve used much lighter set ups with just an aider and two stepps but found the platform is non-negotiable for me for comfort and the effort of an aider without the stick caused too much sweating. I’m not a veteran but have tried many options. I also hunt public land and walk long distances. I put 7 miles on just yesterday and had my set up on my back for loooong time! Back would be throbbing today if I had taken my lw hand climber on that one.

Man, I like this! I may have to go to a two stick method just to do this.
Between my pack, three sticks and platform, it isn't light. I haven't weighed it yet but has to be close to 25#

The first stick I have an aider with 3 steps, I hang it as high as I can reach. The second stick has a 2 step aider and I can do the 1 stick method if I need to be higher.

Cool. That's how I'm currently set too except I use three sticks. I can can around 7.5 with the first stick. Generally I need to be 18-20.

Sit drag, rc harness, rope and tether and clothes in pack, 4 muddy pro and 3 stepps outside. Misc in small side pockets. Badlands diablo dos.

When it cools and I get the guidos web out, misc goes in cheap fanny pack and sticks and clothes get packed in the fold of the web. I'll try to remember to snap a pic in the next couple of weeks when it gets colder.

If I get better at stepps and stepp aider for ascent, I'll re-evaluate how I pack.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread on archery talk about making an adapter for the guido's to turn the leg straps into a waist strap. It's basically a section of webbing with two male buckles on it, maybe 12" long. Make sure both are the adjustable kind. It just clicks into the female ends of the leg straps, goes in front your waist, and you pull tight. Simple and cheap. I'll have to dig mine out to see if I still have it.
