Platform or ring of steps or a combo

I been using a mission platform some this year and while I like it I also feel kinda handicapped on certain trees. I feel like a ROS overall would be a better way to go but maybe not as comfortable. I am eyeballing the bull man steps with that angle on top. Anyone have any experience with them ?
What’s your climbing method? If it’s sticks you can use the top of your stick at the same ht as your mission & give you some extra maneuverability. I run an EDP & a couple squirrel steps if on bolts & just use the top of my beast stick & platform if sticks……

Anything more than 2-3 hours I run a combo. If it’s 3 hours or less I’ll usually just go with a ros especially if it’s to a preset. Obviously when I one stick I just run the monarch that’s on my stick unless I’m going for a long time. But even with that monarch I can sit extremely comfortable for a good 6-7 hours

How do you like using an OCB with the ridge runner? I didn't care for the cam over method when I had one

I'm a big fan of OCBs so I like it a lot.
I need to get slots milled into the base of the Ridge Runner so I can feed the strap directly through it.
Just like on a Pre-set Solo Scout.

I'M liking the W.E.Stepps. More Surface for my Feet & can Stick Your Heels in Them to Stretch Your Legs. I'm Thinking Way Better Than My TreeHoppers.

I can't get comfy at all with a platform anymore. I strictly use a ROS now. It's far more comfy for me for the lean/sit/straddle I do. I just got some bullman platform steps in and can't wait to try them.

I can’t use a tradition flat platform. It kills my feet and back so I hear ya there! As for the platform steps my only complaint is they’re a little stubbier than my pioneer steps but other than that I love them!!

I've bee really considering these. I hung yesterday using my hawk steps, and while doable, they really kill my feet. Those platform steps look like they'd go a long way towards resolving some of that discomfort.

4 squirrel steps, ocb. All day.

I stopped chasing foot comfort and just take 90% of my body weight off my feet instead. Hybrid is the best platform.

Do you get those platform steps tight with an OCB? I couldn’t get them tight at all tonight. No matter how tight the strap they would slide down the tree over and over. My golden buck steps don’t move once I set them.
