For those of you that shoot traditional bows what is your preference? I shoot a 60” centaur longbow instinctive and cant the bow some. Really like the idea of the ring of steps but was thinking that the extra distance from the tree with a platform would help with clearance on certain shots.

I prefer steps in general, but way less to wack your bottom limb on wiht steps with a trad bow. I"m shooting a 63" flatbow.

I don't see either getting in your way. Did your bottom limb ever hit anything at your feet? That's where your steps will be. You're not really shooting along side the tree.. your shooting away from the tree, if that makes sense. I shoot a 54" and 56" recurve so I never really thought about hitting my bottom limb.

I also shoot a centaur from my saddle and greatly prefer a ring of steps for shooting

I used steps for 3 years. I just now got the predator platform at the end of this season and boy was I missing out! I think you would benefit from a platform much more.

That’s the best pic I have for now. Mines a 54” triple carbon with curly maple riser. It’s 45@25. I’ve been shooting gold tip trad classic xt’s With a grizzly stick 200 grain massi. I shot two deer with this setup this year and was pleasantly surprised how hard they hit! Great bows!

How do you like the dark matter riser?
Love the dark matter and was the only option with it being a takedown. Has good mass but still light. Thought about getting wood scales over it but like the simplicity of it. They def hit hard. Arrows are about 580 grains

I shoot a Robertson Vision Falcon and a Samick Sage. I prefer a platform. Limb clearance is no where near the issue it is in a conventional tree stand.
