Can someone post a video of how to wrap platform edges in paracord? The only one I could find was an older phone video that was small and I could not follow it. Thanks

I think I have one on here. Basically google search cobra weave. Use one foot of rope per inch of area covered

I saw the cobra weave videos, but I was a little puzzled about getting it started. The videos were not around a post... I guess I can google wrapping an axe handle?

I have a Hawk platform, that absolutely sucks...no traction, noisy, etc. So, I added a rope wrap to it and it made all the difference. I can get good traction for side pressure and it made it very quiet.
Also, had to use a cinch strap from one of my Muddy sticks (their factory one was too thin and wouldn't cinch down) and had to purchase a tree cleat from Tetherd. The factory Hawk tree cleat was convex, instead of concave and wasn't stable on the tree.

I like the way this looks...but my Predator XL has felt solid as a rock since my first hunt in it. I can't see how the platform could be better with the addition of this; but someone please, talk me into it! I enjoy rope/knot work and think they look great. Come on guys

No "ting" when metal bumps together. That should be enough lol

That is badazz! Did you add something to the post where the adjustment bolt rests against? My plastic piece has a crack so I flipped it over. I want to put something else there, like a small piece of steel or something. That Hawk failure I saw a while back on some thread, shows the bolt going through the side of the post……if I remember right. I never could figure out why the top standoff was shaped like it was, but I never replaced mine Nor had any problems with it. I used vet tape as I agree the surface is slick! I’ve since started using a seeker mini and love it.

The plastic piece started to crack on mine too and yes, I did something about it. I replaced it with a Trophy Ridge Mission platform. Best decision I've made for a huge improvement! Day and night differences that are well worth the money!

I tired the wrapping thing but got tired of it. Between having to replace it, and it getting stinky, muddy and/or wet it wasn't worth it. I took a grinder to the edges on mine and it did the trick.

What are the u bolts for?

I had a tree one day that I couldn't get the top to secure up to well. It wanted to rock sideways a little. I put those to help stabilize and grip the tree better. It worked very well. I have since take then off though because I had a tree where they were a problem, and the original design worked better. I have since learned learned how to tension my OCB so that the original design is not a problem no matter the tree.

Adapt and overcome ;)
