I used hockey tape in critical areas to eliminate noise, yet still allow the sticks to stack tight to each other and also allows the threaded bolts to hold the sticks in place as designed.

Have you ever tried to pack them on an Ambush with the J-Hooks they sell? I'm wondering if they would sit on the Ambush like they do on the .5 stand with two on the left and two on the right.
 
See Pics added at the top. My setup was to stack the 4 sticks in line with the ambush post, they lock up perfectly resting the standoff bolts on the teeth of the ambush, and the bolt on the ambush post thru one of the slots on the stick. I don’t have any j hooks, the sticks stack flat and it looks like the j hooks would be a great idea!
