PNW blacktail?

So does a blacktail tag bought for archery only cover archery season and not extend to MR?
That’s correct, you have to pick which season you want to hunt and for which species. You can apply for a lottery multiseason tag that allows you to hunt all weapons season if you draw it. You have to pay for the extra seasons as well but idk how much. Maybe I’ll draw it this year and I’ll let you know.

So if I don't kill a deer during early archery, can I no longer buy a tag for later seasons?

Yeah, you only have the tag for the weapons season you choose but with archery you can hunt early and late archery season. Similar with other weapons but you can only hunt the ones according to the weapon you purchased the tag for if that makes sense.

Can you expand on this? I have relatives in Keizer and Eugene OR and have always wanted to go to Washington.
If you are looking for something "touristy " then it's not the place for you.
If you want incredible beauty, few people, and outdoor activities then you'll like it.
Stehekin is at the northern tip of the incredibly beautiful, 55 mile long Lake Chelan. There isn't a lot of development in Stehekin. Theres a modest motel, several b&b, an amazing bakery, and lots of outdoor activities. There's a cool historic orchard and a lot of black bear. We even saw silver phase blacks. The Stehekin River has great fishing and I assume the lake does as well but I never fished the lake. There are some outfitters based there that offer some horse pack trips and I'm not sure what else.

There are only 3 methods to travel to Stehekin because there is no road access to Stehekin from the outside.
You can take an enjoyable ferry, or an incredible sea plane, or hike ~15(?) mile in thru North Cascades National Park (also amazing). The Pacific Crest trail leads thru the valley. We've done the ferry and the seaplane.
Ferry and floatplane originate from the town of Chelan. If you like wineries you'll love it there.

No roads lead to Stehekin but there is a 15 mile long road within the valley. There's a shuttle bus that runs the valley and the cabin we rented provided a van for us to use as we pleased.

Also recommend driving route 20(?) Thru North Cascades. It's one of the great drives in the USA. We like the small town of Winthrop along route 20.

Man, typing this makes me want to go back!
