Any body own one here. If so what do you think? They are on sale for 99.00. Seems to be a good buy.

I love mine. I bought mine at the show price a few weeks ago and am really glad I did. I highly recommend it.

I really like the Podium. I have tested it out on a couple different trees and it is rock solid once you get the right tension on the strap. It took me a few times to get it right but with practice I will get it down. I walked all around the podium and it never moved. The size is about perfect for me. I wear size 12 boots and had no issue with feet not being comfortable and the width felt like it gave me the ability to get out and around the tree for multiple shot opportunities. For size reference I am 260.

@Gamover06, I tried a podium demo (275#) and I couldn't get it solid... tilted it up so the cut-out was against the tree, tightened the strap as hard as I could, cammed it over, and when I stood on it, it still pulled a way from the tree more than my predator did. Did you have to go through a period of stretching the strap or something?

Very interesting! Looks like a good option. I'm surprised that there is no kick out with side load. Can't beat the price, in light of the other options on the market.

I did not. It took me a few tries to get it tight but once I got it tight she didn't budge. The top still pulled away a little but the Podium did not move at all when I put side pressure on it or walked around the edge of the podium. I have only tie4d it out a couple of times so maybe I was lucky that day. Time will tell but I was very happy with how it handled the first couple trees.

If anyone is on the Saddle Hunter Facebook group, I put up a video of me on it, on a tree that is way too small for it it and bouncing against the sides. I’m 290 and it stays put.

Can you give

Link?

Anyone tried these on bigger trees? Seems like every video I’ve seen has shown it on trees less than 12” diameter.

I believe you may be trying to get it too tight, I cams very similar to wild edge step. Basically just have to take slack out of strap raise platform like you would The WE step them cam down. I usually do that process twice to get Tha strap angle correct with the lugs. Very solid.

I only got to play with it for 5 mins and did not try it with a looser strap or toe hooking. Both of those could very well solve why I couldn't get it locked in.

I was impressed with how light it was. If I figure out how to tighten it right and repeatedly then I'd grab one, if/when I need to add another platform.

Got my Podium today. Excited to have my first official platform (have used Ameristeps and Primal plywood). At the show price of $99 I couldn't resist the temptation. Fit my goal of helping saddle industry while staying responsible to my family/budget.

As YouTube reviewers have noted it is surprisingly light for its size. It just looks like it should be heavier. My fish scale said it was 3.3 lbs with the supplied strap.

Ran out to test it on a tree. Didn't have any trouble camming it over. Very solid and super roomy. Feels like having a treestand for your feet! I didn't have my bow to practice but I moved all around simulating all the shots. I set my Muddy Pro on the backside of the tree so I could step to it to shoot easily around tree.

Set my tether low (chin) and bridge very short. So comfy to lean with a variety of foot positions. Also sat with knees (pads) against tree and found that very comfortable.

It is a little bulky to carry in, but I will work on a system of attaching it to my backpack efficiently.

The teeth really dig into the tree. Similar to how WEs dig into the bark. Not crazy about that.

Think I'm going to dig it. Pairs well with my 1-stick Muddy Pro climbing system. 6 lbs to climb to any height and have a roomy platform.

If I go back to my Stepps then I'll stick with plywood platform or pick up a Perch (especially if there is a sale!). 5-6 lbs to get 24' that way. Probably more compact and good for deeper hunts than Muddy/Podium combo.

Just figured I'd share in case others are considering it. Unless you are an extreme minimalist I think you'll be happy with it.

Just came across the Podium in a review on YouTube today. Is there any way to still get the show price of $99 somehow? If so I'd love to pick one up at that price.

Sale seems to come and go so far. Supposedly a "show price" that OoaL is graciously willing to offer online for folks who can't get to shows.
