@Allegheny Tom thank you for doing what you do. It’s so kind and generous for you to do these fundraisers. I’ve been volunteering for an organization for the last seven years that takes wounded and active duty military on hunting and fishing trips. Giving back to these men and women and their families gives me a joy that I just can’t explain. I’m not sure how to purchase your pods to support you but I’d like to know how.

Here's the latest.
Sorry there was a delay in getting the donations to SOWF. I was waiting to get an accumulation of donations before I sent them in. I try not to send one donation at a time. This batch took a little while to accumulate.
As always, your generous donations are greatly appreciated. As close as I can figure, I think we are right around $2,860 donated by just picking some milkweed. The hero's families benefit and you guys get a great wind indicator and this all make me feel good for doing something. It's a win-win-win.
God bless you.

Okay guys and gals, Here's the latest acknowledgment. I want to point out a few things about how this is being done now.
I'm no longer taking PayPal (they are a little too "woke" for me) and I'm just taking checks or money orders made out to SOWF, not made out to me. This assures everyone that their entire donation is going to the cause and nothing is being "skimmed" off the top by me. Checks also give you the ability to write-off the donation on your taxes.

It does seem that the last few confirmation letters that they sent are a bit different each time. I have edited-out a few things in the previous letters (like my wife's name and address, etc) in the heading.

But this is the 1st letter that they inserted the full names (from the personal checks) in the letter. I want to continue posting these letters, but I wasn't comfortable with publicly posting the full names. That's why you'll see some blank spots in this latest letter.
And for Jeremy (the latest donation), your check did not arrive before I sent the last donation...not to worry, your's will be sent within a few weeks...I usually wait until I have multiple checks and then I send a batch.

Sorry for all the minutia details, but I just want everyone to fully understand the process here. I realize there are a lot of scammers out there that prey upon generous people like you folks. I want everyone to be completely comfortable that your hard-earned donation is indeed going to the cause.

Thanks again, and here's wishing you all a great season! Watch that wind!!

PS...I still have plenty of dried pods in case anyone needs some.

Here's the latest. Not sure why they sent 2 separate thank-you letters, but here they are.
Sincere thank you to all who continue to help out with this cause.
And I hope the pods have been a useful tool in your hunting arsenal.
Wishing everyone a great season, a wonderful Thanksgiving and a blessed Christmas.

Thanks again for doing this Tom! Looking at the letters above it appears that you (and all the people donating) have raised over $3,300 for SOWF. Is that correct? That's awesome!

I'm glad you totaled it up! Ha, I kinda lost track of the total. I knew it was over $3k but I wasn't quite sure of the exact amount. But be assured 100% of what you generous patriots have donated goes to the cause. In fact, I've added a few hundred of my own to the total.

BTW, I don't think that I ever posted a pic of just exactly what I send out. It's always a minimum of 6 pods but sometimes I will throw in a few extras if the size is small. 6 pods goes a long way. I can often get well over 50 hours of tree time on just 1 pod. I have improved how I rig (and ship) them since I started this thread.
Here's what I ship in a bubble envelope. It goes 1st class USPS and normally arrives in 4 days or so.
