I’m hunting a draw hunt this weekend. I’ve narrowed down my area to the areas circled in yellow. What points on this map draw the most interest to you guys? I’ll be packing in and setting up the morning of. We’re still in Pre rut in my area. The flat area in the V of the two areas is basically all bedding, grown up fields, thicket, and swamp. That area is off limits to hunting .

I would expect there to be feeding movement between what looks like AG fields, circled in green, and the off limits bedding area, I would scout for a trail along that orange line for pinch points, like that big saddle. The other two saddles to the left of that orange line could be promising also.

What’s the second map overlay called? I like that topo shading.

Deer tend to be creatures of the edge. I would start by walking those woodline edges where they meet what looks to be AG fields. Is that all hardwoods or mixed with conifers? Also would be good to know your access route as kstetar asked.
