Hey sportsman's guide has us sustainment pouches for 5.39 right now. I bought 6 when they were 3.99 these make great rope bags as well as bags to carry anything. Standard Molle connections. They fit on my kestrel clone and jx3 clone. Makes things easy access.

Thanks for the share. Those look pretty big. Do you think you could get both a linesman rope and the tree tether rope in one pouch?

I put 35 feet of Samson predator in one with Paracord to rappel with. I could probably put my tether and linesman in there as well.

I like the space so far. They are bigger but I feel more confident not dropping anything inside while grabbing it.

I also have the trenching tool pouch which is perfect size for a tether.

Here's the post I created about it.

Very nicely done. Looks identical and I assume works the same!

Sounds like it could do a linesman/tether and possibly my bullman ring of steps in one pouch. That would be perfect. Just stack them in the order they are needed when setting up.

Stack in order, that's the important part forget and you are fiddling around trying not to drop stuff.

Suess, thanks for posting your pouch purchase. I am in the market for pouches to put on my sit drag saddle for my ropes. I decided to go with two smaller bags from sportsman’s guide (also got my dad a cool Smith & Wesson hat for a Christmas).

I bought these for $5.99 each. I was a little worried about the big pouch you purchased being a little too big hanging on the back of my saddle. Luckily these were in the same price range.

I got a couple of those as well. Just thought they were too small for my ropes

@DanO fleece pouches will be quieter. No snaps. They are easy to attach to your saddle too

They will hold plenty. I used one on my saddle during early season in lieu of a backpack. They can be floppy when walking but there is a fix for that. I usually loaded mine with 2 20oz bottles of water and a thermacell. There was probably still room for my tether and linesman’s.

If they are too small, I will use one to hold my turkey call and the other maybe my tags and knife and I can leave the backpack at camp during turkey season.

I just threw one of these sustainment pouches into an order to get over the threshold to use a coupon. First time ever ordering used mil-surp from the Guide. OP’s looks to be in decent shape. Anybody else ordered one of these or anything similar, and it not look so good?

I bought about 8 of the GI sustainment pouches a few at a time over the past year and they vary from moderately used to brand new. All had good buckles and snaps.
