For those who hunt off of a predator platform, which of the tree brackets do you prefer, the solid one, or the black, xop-ish one? I have found that anything that cams over does do a little bit of damage to the bark, but the solid one does less...? Anybody else's preference/experiences?

I couldn't tell a difference, keep both and after a season or 2, replace it with the extra one.

Do yall tighten the brackets all the way or leave them a little loose?

No matter the bracket, watch this video in full.

This video made a difference for me. Even if you’ve set a million platforms and treestands in the past, this video might make a difference on how solid your predator gets.

I use the black bracket but have no idea if it makes any difference. The bracket is tight but just loose enough to pivot if need be when camming the platform down.

I'm using the standard bracket that was installed when I bought it and just follow Greg's advice in the video. Once cammed into place, it's solid as a rock. In fact, I was a little puzzled as to why the optional bracket was included.

Which DanO bracket? I checked one off my beast stick and it’s too small for the Predator.
