I am curious if I should pull the trigger and order the platform, seen a few comments where others were concerned about not getting there equipment in time. Would like to make my own stand but never welded. Any suggestions? Leaving in 3 weeks

Shipping label was created for mine. The guys who run tethrd are honest guys who have dealt with several members here. They've said they plan to have orders up to date by the end of this month, and you won't find a better option than the Predator. Pull the trigger

Buy a used one diy one now, to have it, then order a predator and sell the used one when it arrives. Safest way to ensure you have a platform for your hunt.

I would order a Predator ASAP but still may not get it in time.

So might need to brainstorm & get creative.

Other possible options: buy or build a diy xop platform, use a regular hang on stand, a climbing stand platform could be used, a hand climber top section, screw in steps, a couple WE Stepps, etc.

U may already have some of these items.

I have a couple lightweight original LW Assaults that I just bought for their lightweight & ability to be used as a saddle platform & used conventionally if I need.

Some diy xop & Klemz platforms will probably be going up for sale now that guys know Predators are being shipped.

Couldnt take it any longer, hoping they get their orders out faster than they expect. It would be awesome if it made it on time. Just placed my order and looking forward to trying out!

Do u have any potential back up options just in case?

What did u normally hunt from before the saddle bug bit u?

summit climber or hang ons, no great choices for a back up thinking about getting the 8#Millenium hang on

I looked at that 8#. It has good reviews and is pretty cheap. It’s not a true 8# tho cuz they don’t include attachment hardware in the weight. So plan on some extra weight. I ended up finding an 8#-5oz & 9#-10oz LW that I snapped up but the Millennium was on my short list. It would still give u additional options even after u get Predator. There some mods online that make it easier to use.

did not see any 8#LW , I do like the packability of the Millenium but hoping to get the predator before I resort to it

The LW are some old original models that were lighter than current models. Hard to find & usually cost as much or more than a brand new LW.

Hope ur Predator arrives and u can save a little money. But if u have to get the millennium ul find some uses for it.

It’s 157 right now on amazon after a small coupon on the ad. It’s definitely a compact & affordable stand.

You could just pick up a ring of ameristeps, they would pack easy & you may end up using a couple on the backside........ then your covered if it doesn’t come in time. Where do you live & where are you headed to hunt?
