I just recieved my platform today and went outside to try it on the 2 trees i have in my back yard...both trees are around 22-24" diameter so thats pretty much the max ill get out of the stock strap...so im experiencing an issue where no matter how tight i make the strap or how far i push the platform down below the back of the strap camming into the tree the standoff comes off the tree once i climb onto it...the platform itself bites in really well so much so that it definetly damages the bark but the stand off wont stay tight to the tree almost like the button the straps go around are too low on the post what can be done to get it to bite in better ..FYI im 215lbs im pretty sure its rated for 300 has anyone had this issue and should i install a versa button higher up the post
 
Stand on the standoff with one foot & pull the platform up with the other, then cam it down again & it should stay tight.
 
It came with 2 different standoffs i put the black one on ..is one better then the other
 
Lift the bottom away from the tree just a little. Push down, then cam over. That is what gets mine to fit flush when I have the same issue
