Anyone still prefer the original predator over the XL? On the fence about ordering the XL but already have the original gen 2. I’m trying to stay light but want comfort as well.

I have the XL and am thinking seriously about moving it and getting the regular Predator instead. I have size 9 feet though. But I've seen videos and seen posts on here of guys with 12 to 13 size feet and the regular Predator is just fine by them as well.

What’s the longest sit you’ve done with it?
about 8 hrs. I think comfort on a long sit has more to do with knee pads and a back band to be able to change positions than a big or small platform. As long as your feet fit on there the platform doesnt matter..I wouldnt want to stand on top of a stick all day.

I’ve had and liked them both. I’ve done more all day sits on the regular Predator than the xl and was always comfortable enough. Between the two, I kept going back to the original due to its better packability. I wear a size 10 boots for reference.

I have and like them both as well. Started with the regular and hunted early season with it, but just wanted a little more room so got the XL in November for the rut. I wear size 12 and find the XL more comfortable to move around on, especially with bigger, insulated burly rubber boots in the colder temps. I will most likely keep and use both depending on the hunt/situation.

I have size 15 boots and the standard size is fine for me. I've sat sun up to sun down with it just fine. Like someone else said knee protection and a back band have more impact on all day sits. Unless you're in the tree with slippers on most all boots have enough structure that the standard platform works well. I hunt in knee boots pretty often and that's the most flexible sole I have and it hasn't bothered me. I like how compact the standard size is and have no interest in going bigger.

I've got size 12s and I've had no issues sitting all day on the platform. I also set my stick level with the platform to allow for additional movement and stability. I have no desire to get the XL. I'm toying with the idea of getting the new EWO UP and if I like that enough, possibly selling my platform

I use a ring of steps most of the time. I also have the original and predator xl. If I’m strapping a platform to my pack it’s going to be the xl. I can shoot from the smaller platform fine but it’s nice to be able to spread my legs just a little with the xl.

I've got size 13's. No experience with the regular predator but I like my xl. I dont think I'd be able to comfortably stand with my back to the tree if it was smaller.

This is the way I pack my xl and sticks together with backpack straps or on a backpack. I figured as long as the platform doesn't exceed the sticks profile by much, there really wouldn't be a disadvantage to having the larger platform. I don't have experience with the regular predator but I like being able to spread out my feet when I need to use it as more of a tree stand than a platform.

I have size 12 feet and prefer the Gen 2 regular predator. If I ever need something bigger I set my one stick level and off to one side of the platform
