Just picked up an XL platform. I painted the platform and I've seen a few other peoples project doing the same. How long did you guys let this air out before hunting with it.. it has been outside for almost 24 hrs and I can still pick up some paint fumes.

What have you guys done to expedite the process? I'm think of putting it in my Ozone tote and running a couple cycle but I don't want that smelling like paint fumes either.. any thoughts?

Heat will accelerate the process. Whatever the component of the paint is that smells needs to fully evaporate. You could put in your oven on the lowest setting. Ozone will not help at this stage. It would be like trying to treat gasoline with ozone.

I baked mine, but I didn’t use our oven at home. If you could find a toaster oven big enough it might work.

Baking will also speedup the curing time and make the paint job much more durable. You don’t have to go crazy, a heat lamp in a box lined with foil will do the trick, for probably 6-12 hrs. FYI, I baked mine at 250 for 3 hours, and let it cool on it’s own.
