Hello to you all from South Carolina!

I have been researching saddle hunting for about a year now and am almost ready to make the jump from a climber to a saddle. I cannot wait to learn a little more now that I decided to join the forum.

Haven't decided in a saddle yet or the climbing method.

Looking forward to my continuing education

Welcome from Georgia. I just got one this year. Been a climber hunter for years. I've set it up in my yard and can't wait to put it to use this season. Good luck on your end.

"Preparing to Make the Jump"

...interesting choice of words for someone about to try a new method of hunting from trees. :D

Welcome from VA. My best advice, as a newbie as well, is to prepare the wallet mainly. :tearsofjoy: But it seriously is a fun new adventure. Can't wait to get some hang time this fall!

Find people. Try their gear. I gobbled up the trendy stuff and then later tried the competition. Not that ones “better” but perhaps better suited for your style etc.

My wife wishes I’d taken up golf instead. Thinks that would have been cheaper. And she’s don’t know the half of it. Ha

Welcome from Maine! My advice, open that wallet and let it flow. Buy quality gear and do like most other saddle hunters, refine and DIY from there! Never sacrifice safety over cost though and practice, practice, practice.
