Problems with OnX?

A few weeks ago it kept crashing on my phone every time I opened it. Then it started working again. This is my last subscription year, I've been using it and Huntstand in parallel for the past year and overall I like Huntstand a lot more. It has features I don't like also but the map options are far better. As soon as I find time to figure out how to transfer my OnX waypoints I am done with it.

Here ya go! I’m not on huntstand but like most mapping software you should have an import option and then you would just select your file you exported from OnX to load it to huntstand.

How many waypoints do you have active on your map? Do you have the latest version of OnX? How many map layers do you have active at one time?

Thanks! I knew it couldn't be too hard I just hadn't taken the time to figure it out. I'm kinda lazy.

I have to have 100's but that's why I was saying I need to systemetize. I think the issue may have been too many layers, my phone is also going on 5 years old and running out of space which was probably the culprit.

My current method is OnX houses my "speculative" areas. Usually areas where I want to scout or check out. Then when I actually scout boots on ground, my trees and access waypoints go into my GPS but some areas those are getting quite cluttered and need organized. Huntstand I have very few waypoints more or less just use it to look at maps. I just need to bite the bullet and take a day to organize everything.

Do it from the computer, it will make it easier. Everything you described is why OnX is crashing for you. You make need to offload data from your phone to a hardrive or home computer as well. Computers don’t do well when they are anywhere close to max storage.
