Is there a rule of thumb on what size accessory cord to use to what size climbing rope for a tether and lineman’s belt? I’m thinking of going with the 8mm Oplux or the 10mm HTP.

I'm using oplux and use 6mm and 7mm PMI accessory cord.

If I use 7mm accessory cord on a 10mm rope should that be ok?
