Yep. 75’ or so

If given the choice I’d go longer. I have one about 80’ then ordered 150’. I’ve been able to tie throw bag into middle of the line after throwing over a crotch and manage both ends of the line to swing and drop it around limbs so they were not captured. I wouldn’t have been able to do this with the 80’ line I have.

Alternatively to buying additional hardware, theres a good video floating around demonstrating the "super munster" (hitch, loop, knot, *insert correct term*) to repel.

Not sure your exact setup, but if you use your repel line as your tether, you can tie the munters higher than the tether prussic and use that as an additional saftey.

Do you experience a noticeable amount of noise with the figure 8 against the carabiner? I suppose you could wrap to deaden sound, just curious

Under tension there is no sound. It slides into that corner and doesn’t move.

I will probably wrap vet tape on it to prevent any chance of noise and to cut down the shiny silver.

Just curious why you went with the figure 8 and not an ATC? I use an ATC with my 9mm HTP but am making the switch to Oplux. Does the figure 8 work better than the ATC on Oplux?

Mainly from the description from DanO that it was ideal for harsh conditions and wet/frozen ropes. It just happened to be the first one I tried. It can flip and be “rabbit” verses “turtle” allowing to simply change the descent speed.

Picked up the ATC on super sale at REI is only reason I got it. It’s tension is pretty much identical to the ATC. Will just keep it around as a backup.
