I saw a thread of people talking about the RDA One Stick and a couple people mentioned the Crows Nest platform. I don’t One Stick but I’m interested in the Crows Nest as a top of stick platform on one of my X2’s.

Can anyone speak to the comfort of the platform? Are you able to stand on top reasonably at all?

I want something with angle on the front for comfort of leaning but I also like to be able to stand up and turn with tether across my chest to take a leak or shoot behind me.

Also… are there any videos of it in use? Can’t find any on YouTube.

Thanks!

I have the crows nest. I had a slanted scout before that. I really like the crows nest. like you said, I wanted the slant for leaning, but also wanted to be able to stand as well. You definitely can't stand on it like a platform, or even a flat scout, but I can stand. it gave me that little bit of standability I was looking for. I find it to be just as comfortable as my slanted scout, and even more useful. there was no chance of standing, even for a few seconds, on my slanted scout. overall, I am really happy with the crows nest, and will be using it for this upcoming season.

Free bump. I have the RDA one stick with top and bottom double steps. I am however hunting off of a cruzr seeker.

here is my experience so far:
The stick bites good without issue. Ground move plus two and I’m at the point where I set my platform. The nice part about this is I don’t have to worry about over stretching or making an extra move to be at the height I want. Also once I set the platform I can take the stick off the tree if I choose. This just saves me a bit of time later. The down side to this is the seeker is about 3 pounds heavier than if I were to use a platform.

I’m undecided at this point, for an extra pound I might throw one on my stick and see how I like it. But that is still up in the air at this point.

Luke (RDA) is building one sticks off the XOP as an option. Ordered a 15” this wkd with crows nest top. I can give you a practice review probably in 2 weeks time if you can wait that long.
How'd the crows nest platform work for you? Thinking about buying either a flat scout or the crowsnest but can't make up my mind
