Hello everyone. I'm from Michigan, and have been hunting for 29 years. Although I enjoy all hunting, hunting whitetails is a passion for me. I've been considering a saddle for many years now, but never pulled the trigger. Being a professional firefighter, and army veteran that served many years in an airborne unit on 6 man recon teams, I'm very comfortable with ropes, knots, harnesses, and heights. Not sure what has taken me so long. I've been reading these forums with great interest over the past month or two gathering information, and doing research. I've made my decision, and I'm ready to pull the trigger. After this season I plan to start purchasing needed gear. I think my first purchase will be a platform from here. But I plan to gather my gear, and spend the next off season practicing, fine tuning, and getting comfortable with it. I'm looking forward to a new challenge in my hunting career.

Glad to hear you're taking the plunge. You won't regret it. What saddle will you purchase?
