I’m 33-34” Waist in jeans. Hunt north so heavier clothes later in season. What do you recommend?
Small. I'm same waist. 6ft 200lbs. I'm in Texas so not much layering needed but I have plenty of room for adjustment.I’m 33-34” Waist in jeans. Hunt north so heavier clothes later in season. What do you recommend?
I’m same size and just ordered one. Thought I wanted a regular/medium but, Mark recommended small for me.
The only marking that identifies the size is a stupid, tiny little sticker on the cord lock of the dump pouch. Mark needs to sew a size tag on them.I’m 6’4 and 230#’s. I bought a recon from a member here last fall and it feels too small. How do I tell the size and what size would you all recommend. Thanks.

You don’t happen to know any specific measurements that distinguish what size is what. Maybe bridge plate to bridge plate while laying flat? The only marking that identifies the size is a stupid, tiny little sticker on the cord lock of the dump pouch. Mark needs to sew a size tag on them.
I have a utilibridge on my Recon so it's hard to lay it out perfectly flat, but I get get it 99% flat. My medium measures 33" from plate-to-plate where the webbing goes thru the plates...didn't measure to the front of the plates or to the rear of the plates. I measured to the webbing slot on the plates. You don’t happen to know any specific measurements that distinguish what size is what. Maybe bridge plate to bridge plate while laying flat?
I'm fairly certain that you need a Medium. I'd be really surprised if you would like a small, but @Nugget is a bit larger than me and he prefers the small. I am 5'7", 175, and 34ish waist and I like the medium......What size based on my height and weight would you recommend?

The belt is the only thing I can find too much fault with. It was my primary concern being used to a single panel saddle. I'd stand up to adjust the tether, get something out of my pack, etc. and the saddle would be around my lower thigh area.I'm fairly certain that you need a Medium. There are 2 things all you guy have to keep in mind when sizing a Recon. Comfort is one aspect, and I truly believe the medium can work best unless you are really large (upper 200s or more) for the comfort aspect. But the belt is the other aspect. A smaller guy won't be able to fully tighten the stock belt on a medium.
BTW, there is a size LARGE Recon, but I've not heard any input on XXXL guys about it.
I've said this many times...I love my Recon. It will probably be the only saddle that I will ever own, BUT I hate that stock belt. A static belt just doesn't take full advantage of how a sling works. I only use a bungee belt and there's a dozen ways a guy can inexpensively rig a bungee belt. As much as I like my version of a bungee, I'm pretty sure that there are some ideas floating around a versions that are even better. The key to a bungee belt is that it self adjusts and stretches when you need it to (when under tether), and it's static when when you need it to be (like when wearing while walking.
Precisely the reason for a bungee belt. No more sag.The belt is the only thing I can find too much fault with. It was my primary concern being used to a single panel saddle. I'd stand up to adjust the tether, get something out of my pack, etc. and the saddle would be around my lower thigh area.

Look on the cinch button of your pouch. There should be a sizing sticker there. Im a 33” waist and my waist belt is quite a ways cinched.I ended up opening mine today. After my email with Mark he told me he was sending a small, but t looks like I ended up with a medium. I’ll get it on a tree soon but just putting it on in the house, other than I can see the waist belt has to be cinched all the way to hold it up but there’s no way it won’t be as comfortable or more than my Kite. Worst case I can remove the stock belt and bungee it.
