Often after a hunt, the cam buckle is so super tight on the tree I really struggle to press in the button the cam buckle. Is there a secret to getting it to release? Fold platform and push up- ie, reverse of camming?

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. I know what you mean and usually do what you described above. Once you have a small amount of slack you should be able to press in the cam buckle.
Most likely wont even need to push up, just folding the platform up will usually give it enough slack to release pretty easily.
