Was cleaning out my storage unit a couple weeks ago and found an old Loggy Bayou treestand from years ago. I think it was called a Cheap Seat when I bought it. Super lightweight, all aluminum. Wheels started turning and I could see my new saddle platform. Brought it home, cut it down and removed the seat, replaced the cables with new shorter ones I built up and ended up with a 15x18 platform that weighs in at 4.6#. I’ll be trying it out this weekend.

Gotta love the ingenuity and ability to see the potential of what something can be with a little bit of grey matter and elbow grease.

Great idea. I think I have one of these in the shed as well. Hmmm. I may have to follow your lead.

I have a summit aluminum stand, weighs practically nothing but it wouldn't hold side pressure without a ratchet strap, hopefully yours is better

As long as he puts it on a small tree it wouldn’t need to hold side pressure.

I’ve got one of these in the garage if anyone is interested. Not sure it would be worth my expense to ship, though.
