Brand new to saddle hunting. I was sold on the predator platform but saw the RR and knew it was better for me. I snatched one for sale from a fellow member. I’m ecstatic with the purchase. Yes a little heavier but still far lighter than my hang on. It’s definitely better for guys a little worried about size and their big feet but I have tiny kids feet. I just wanted a little more size for comfort. I actually think I could take 80% or better of shots like a traditional hang on from the stand. Yes, I’ll practice all the odd angles and hanging positions to do so but much of the 360 degree circle can be shot from the platform. Still considering a couple Cranford steps in case but I need to practice more to see if I think it’s needed. Right now I don’t think that it is needed. Pretty excited for this coming season.

I've been contemplating one as well. I'm also brand new to Saddle hunting and plan to sit more than lean so I thought a ROS would be better for my purposes based on what I've read on the forum. I may still pick up a platform at some point to see which I like better.

I think I’d mostly be a sitter too but I thought the buffer platform is more similar to a stand which I’m used to. And when I used a hang on I pretty much split standing and sitting. And I kind of like that I can take a lot of shots while standing on the RR. Again I’ve been practicing leaning and odd shots but I think most shots can be taken like a traditional hang on stand.
