Ridge runner review

So I tried wild edge stepps, using two at the top as a makeshift ROS, I've tried silent approach ROS, I've tried squirrel steps, it all killed my feet, causing feet to hurt, legs to fall asleep, after 2 hours my life in a tree was garbage.

The ridge runner was a game changer, spent dawn til dusk up a tree today, saw more deer than I have all season, had a big 8 less than 50 yards that wouldn't walk into my shooting lanes, grunted him twice.

I'm a fan.

is easy to stand straight up on it, similar to the predator?
Never been on a predator, but yeah, when my legs get tired from same position I was turning around and my tether/bridge holding me against the tree. Spent a couple hours standing straight up

I have both ridge runner and predator i like the ridge runner better. You can stand up on it just like the predator I have size 11 boot and it has plenty of room. It’s also more quite than the predator my rubber boots make some noise on it. It’s rock solid. Just my opinion they are both great platforms but I pick the ridge runner over predator every time.

I've been using the Ridge Runner all season (30 hunts?) and couldn't be more happy with it. I'm 6'4, 270 pounds and this thing is rock solid. I like to sit way out form the tree and put a lot of side pressure on it and it just doesn't budge. no squeaks, no flex, easy to hang and cam over and that's it - set it and forget it. big enough for my giant size 15 boots to perch on with room to maneuver and re-position without looking down. robust enough to stand on fully without hesitation, and small enough to hook on my backpack and disappear. it's not super-ultra-light, carbon-fiber-bolts packable...but like i said, i'm a grown man...i can carry a couple pounds lol.

it's beefy and well engineered. the knobs for the strap attachment are sized right - easy to hook onto in the dark and on these cold northern VT sits when your fingers are a little too numb to feel everything right. the tread gives you lots on confidence when moving around. the welds are quality, the leveling knob is easy to use, though i rarely touch it anyway.

i can't imagine any improvement to this thing. it was obviously designed by someone with some time in the tree and some time in the welding shop.

high quality all around.

I got a ridge runner about a week ago. Really happy so far. Bought it after my lwcg ambush showed up and I was very disappointed with it. Sold the ambush and bought the ridge runner. I really like my predator but think I may sell it and keep the ridge runner
