Right knot to use?

I wonder if you could make a nice one out of a treestand Seat....
I don't know if you replied to the thoughts on using a 1/2' piece of plywood? I compared weights yesterday and it would be a notable difference.

I hunted out of my Onehair tree seat made from 1/2" plywood today. It worked really well. Very solid. I used the select 1/2" red oak plywood from Lowes to make it. Cost a little over 7$ for the piece of plywood.

Could someone tell me if I have this right. Take 1 piece of rope/webbing ect. And run it on top of the preachres seat thru the holes and up over the edge. Repeat for either the back or front whichever is left.
Now I take both pieces and on a bight tie a figure 8 knot. Next into the figure 8 put a biener and your bridge hooks onto each biener. And then your bridge hooks onto your tree strap/rope.
Now I want safety First, Foremost, and Always. So any further features and/or concerns let me know.

It sounds good. The only difference I made was that I have my figure 8 on a bights on a carabiner on both sides so that I could use a conventional bridge. Post a picture of it after you do it so everyone can take a look before you go ahead and use it. And always test at ground level!

Post a pic. You didn’t really have to have all those biners. When I did mine, I had two big loops of webbing that were my bridge and they wrapped through the seat and all the way around underneath my cushion. They were tied with a water knot on each loop. Then I just clipped both of them onto my tether

Probably....I took the prototype I made out of 1/2" pine and I actually like it better than the original one that I finished out. I need to take some pics of it as it is pretty much bare bones and I was even able to put padded carrying straps that double as back support bands.

I bounced on it quite a bit yesterday...lol! I will be wearing my rock climbing harness so if it does snap I will only be out about $10....$6 for wood and time, plus $4 for a new pair of undies...
