Rope for Safeline Treestand

Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on a quality, yet cost effective rope for a safeline in a tree stand. The muddy ones are garbage to me and I'm assuming I could buy my own rope and to make my own. I mainly saddle hunt, but have a couple permanent stands still. My old muddy ropes are junk and I need to replace them with something. Thoughts?

I would look into something like sterling HTP in 10mm or 11mm. That keeps it affordable and should work with the muddy prussic loops if those are still in good shape.
If you need to upgrade/replace your prussic loops you have a plethora of options but I can't see the benefit of buying 8 or 9 mm rope and paying more for it when it's going to be fixed in place and bulk isn't an issue.

When you say "safeline" are you referring to a line that stays attached to the stand and you hook into it as you start your ascent and remain hooked up during the hunt?

OR

Are we talking about a tether for saddle hunting?

If its the first, I'd look into dynamic rope vs statis rope depending on your harness.
If the second, static.

Yes, attached to the tree and runs down for ascending and descending. Can function as the tree strap as well for stand hunting. Nothing with saddle hunting in this instance.

Before making the switch to the saddle, I also used tree stands with lifelines. Since I hunt private property with presets, I set them up with lifelines for saddle hunting as well. I agree that the Muddy ropes are junk like most of their products. However, I am too cheap to throw them away. Instead, I removed their prussic and replaced it with a DIY distel hitch and some accessory cord. Since it releases easier than the prussic, the sheath does not bunch up as bad. It works better, but it does not change what the Muddy rope is.

I also have four of the Hunter’s Safety Systems ropes and love them. They have the reflective material woven into the rope, and it looks like a neon hotel sign when you hit it with a flashlight. Midway USA has a three pack of them for $99.99. I don’t think that you can do better than that with DIY rope options. I am experimenting with retying the HSS prussic with a Schwabisch on one of my HSS ropes, and it seems to work very well. It looks like it is going to be much easier to move the Schwabisch up and down the rope. From the options that I have used and looked at, the HSS three pack is what I would recommend.
