Does anyone know what knot to use for a rope mod? I just ordered some 1/4 amsteel to rope mod my helium’s and was just wondering what are the best knots to use?

Locked brummel with a bury. Google it or utube. Plenty of instructional info out there.

Consider getting the appropriate sized fid & a loop puller, as these tools will make the splicing process a lot more enjoyable. A simple process overall, but it can be quite frustrating without the propper tools.

I’m going to splice it, I meant the knot for the versa button. Sorry I wasn’t specific lol

Here u go.....I go under the button and behind the rope as opposed to this video were he goes over the button and behind the rope.....both work

1 thing I'll suggest that the video has incorrect IMO.....make your spliced loop smaller than the vera button.....so once my loop is formed I have to take the versa button off the stick, put the post thru the loop, then reassemble.....then u don't have to worry about ur amsteel ever falling off the button

1 other thing to add....that guy in the video said those ropes were like 5 or 6 seasons.....from what I've experienced the amsteel will fray and the weave loosen in a season or two

I pass the tag end (free end) behind the end with the spliced loop that goes around versabutton coming from below. Pull that tight. Then take the tag end and pass it behind the tag end you just caused to go in front of the stick. This means that our weight will cause a friction lock on two parts of the amsteel. Then finish with a few overhand knots. Having the amsteel squeeze itself twice means that the overhand knots do not get tight, are easily untied, and there just for insurance.
