Scratching my head on what you mean by “extreme movements”? Both tree workers and hunters are going up and down, workers just needing to do it more frequently.I tried rope walking but didn't like the extra gear needed and didn't like relying on a sliding friction hitch or spending another $300 on a mechanical device just to try that. For extreme movement in the tree it is great but for hunting I want non-extreme movement.
Exactly what I meant. Up, down, left, right continuously for tree workers not for saddlehunters.Scratching my head on what you mean by “extreme movements”? Both tree workers and hunters are going up and down, workers just needing to do it more frequently.
Exactly the same for me. I just want to be up the tree safely and easily while hunting. Having fun climbing is for recreational tree climbing time.I rope walk fair amount, but never when hunting. I do miss the speed of ascent getting up the tree compared to using RADS but the idea of having to pack in and put on a foot and knee ascender plus tie hitch in dark and install pulley and rope wrench. Just too much.
Wear foot ascender on approach, hand ascender with long footloop for frog system instead of knee ascender, pre-install and tie Wrench and hitch.I rope walk fair amount, but never when hunting.
