Has anyone used a ropeman 1 with 9mm rope? I know it says 10-13 but I figure 9mm (sterling htp)is probably a little bigger but dont know for sure. I've got a ropeman 2 if needed but prefer to leave it on my linemans belt.
 
The ropeman 2 works far better on the smaller rope. I have 2 ropeman 1 but use the ropeman 2 on my tether. Guys apparently don’t like them because they have tiny teeth instead of large gear type teeth, but I’ve zero wear on my tether. I was trying to trade the #2 for 2 WE steps, glad I didn’t get any takers as I hadn’t tried it yet.
