Ropeman 2/Ascender Testing

An interesting video on testing ascenders. Note the one with the teeth like a Ropeman 1 did significantly better than the 2 option. Wish they would’ve tested the 1 on smaller diameter ropes.

Also note at the end they mention testing biners against rounded objects. I’ll be on the lookout for that video when it drops.

 
Also just a quick note: in previous videos, large falls from sheer rock faces typically create around 5Kn of force. But there are quite a few variables to that, so take it with a grain of salt.
