Unlike @HuskerInIowa I didn’t make the pasta lol. Tried something supposedly a little healthier and used Banza pasta made from chickpeas. For the deer/tomato gravy I used a can of tomato sauce, a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, minced garlic, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, thyme and a dash of cayenne. Browned a pound of deer burger and added it. Turned out superb. Next time I am going to try it with wild hog Italian sausage.

I ran off and forgot my cheese to top it with this morning.

Looks good. What did you think of the chickpea pasta?

I tried some chickpea pasta and found it a lot more filling, but the texture was a little strange.

I actually liked it a lot. I think I expected more of a flavor difference than texture but honestly didnt notice either once assembled. The piece of pasta I tried before combining was good. I really didnt expect that either. I was just hoping it would be a tolerable healthier option but I will definitely be using it going forward. IIRC it doesnt have any gluten either in case that matters for anyone. It's not homemade pasta but for me was a 2 thumbs up option for store bought and healthy option.
