This is not 100% saddle related and probably not of interest or need for most on the site, but I have read several posts here about guys aging or having health issues that has forced them to stop climbing trees, and this may help keep you in the tree game. Please watch the video on this guy's story first to really appreciate why he is doing this, then go to the site if you are still interested. I will also say that his pricing is far better than many saddle or treestand products when you consider what he is offering and the true cost to build them, but this is not an apples to oranges comparison, just a logical observation.

I also would appreciate no bashing on this thread - if you have suggestions about his stuff, please contact him and help make them better.

I grew up with a close family member who was handicapped and I have zero tolerance for jokes or digs in that arena, so please keep this thread respectful. Seriously, I will hunt you down if you go down that path!

Man, that is a really slick system and I have 100% respect for the ingenuity, not to mention grit for not letting anything stand in the way of what he loves to do. A friend of mine related a story of a friend of his who had a similar thing years ago where he could back his wheelchair up to a tree he had set up and crank himself up to height. I was always impressed with that story. For what that is, a little under $900 is not bad considering that we have several top notch hang on stands that go for over $500.

Awesome story and genius product that there is a definite market for. Plenty of elderly, ill/handicap, wounded vets, and folks injured from past tree stand falls that could use this product to get back to doing what they love.

I completely agree. I had a very, very close family member who had lifelong disabily and never took a hand out and never asked for one. This is great man!!

I didn't see this thread but the video popped up on my tube feed. I watched it there and searched here and saw this thread.

It is truly remarkable that this exists. Imagine it won't be long until it is adapted for saddle use with a single stick instead of the 2. The price is really cheap too IMHO.... When compared to other hunting products. I have a friend with MS that could benefit from this as well.
